About this property

Welcome to DoubleTree by Hilton Long Island City New York

Located in the redeveloped industrial area of Long Island City, DoubleTree by Hilton Long Island City New York offers modern accommodations in a neighborhood marked by high-rises, art spaces, and riverfront parks. The hotel’s setting provides a quieter alternative to Manhattan while remaining conveniently connected via subway, which is a 10 to 15-minute walk away. Guests appreciate the ease of commuting into the city while staying in a less hectic environment.

The property presents clean, contemporary rooms with practical amenities such as streaming services on the television, which many previous visitors have found welcoming and comfortable. The hotel supports an LGBTQ+ friendly environment and hosts a coffee shop, Ora’s Market, located on site, known for quality service and a welcoming atmosphere.

Guest feedback highlights the attentive and courteous staff, with several reviewers mentioning helpful front desk personnel and housekeeping services. While the location has an industrial character, some find this to add authenticity to the New York experience. However, parking can be a challenge for those renting cars, and rooms lack certain furnishings like chairs, which may affect longer stays.

The hotel’s proximity to prominent cultural attractions such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, and Central Park adds to its appeal for visitors interested in the city’s museums and outdoor spaces. Its overall 4.3 rating from over 400 reviews reflects general satisfaction, making it a practical choice for travelers seeking a clean, well-managed hotel with easy access to both Queens and Manhattan.

I had a truly wonderful experience at the hotel. The property was exceptionally neat and clean, and what stood out the most was the constant availability of assistance whenever needed. I would especially like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Adarsh at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and exceptionally friendly throughout my stay. I kindly request that this note of appreciation and special recognition be shared with his superiors, as his service truly made a positive difference. --- Location of the hotel is great too.. A very hospitable and professional crew at the front desk management. The room itself was very quaint and warm. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection on the Samsung television with HBO, Netflix, live channels. Additionally, I really want to emphasize the accommodations provided by the front desk staff. Again, they were very engaged and energetic when it came to assisting me with my requested services specially with a very courteous late check out due to unforeseen circumstances. I will definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area, especially because it is the most respectable site in the neighborhood.

I enjoyed my stay here . It’s simple and worth the price. The staff is very accommodating and kind! I want to acknowledge Raul for his amazing customer service and any time I needed something he assisted. Fresh cookies , housekeeping, and for the television. Commuting to the city is easy too. I liked that I could travel there and come back away from the chaos. It’s NY the court really doesn’t sleep. You’ll hear city sounds that’s normal. I would stay again .

So my original plan was to stay here for 6 days 5 nights. I have been coming back to NYC very year around the same time to visit friends since I left 3 years ago. This time around I decided to stay for six days. Upon checking in I requested a fridge and It wa delivered to my room within the hours. Because of a snowstorm, I was able to change my flight for free and decided to stay for an additional 3 days and 2 nights even though there were many hotel in the area I could have walked to. All the front desk staff I talked to were amazing and took care of any requests I had. During my total 9 day stay I requested housekeeping three times to have my room vacuumed, bedsheets changed, new towels and the hotel room surfaces wiped. Every time I requested the room was taken care of thoroughly. Also, I appreciate the staff lending me a shovel to dig out my car after the snowstorm. For anyone choosing to rent a car while here keep in mind parking maybe be somewhat hard to find. But, nothing I am not used as a person who did live in NYC for a couple years. But, I am not going to blame the hotel specifically for that, Just a heads up for anyone reading this review. There is a major subway line that is a 10 minute walk if you are trying to visit any of the other boroughs, If the days I need to come back next year are available I will be booking my stay at this location. I appreciate all the front desk staff when I had questions or requests.

Stayed here for 2weeks during my work trip and it was a great experience. Hotel room and lobby were clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Both the managers, Mohammad and Dacks were super accommodating during my stay. I appreciate them going above and beyond to extend my stay! There location is ideal into the city. 10min walk from the train. The community members were nice and local restaurants were some of my fav to try. I would definitely recommend for a clean, location friendly, and affordable stay in NYC.

I recently stayed at the brand-new DoubleTree by Hilton in Long Island City, and it was honestly a great find. Since it’s so new, the whole place is incredibly clean and fresh, which is a huge relief compared to some of the older hotels in the city. The location is a bit of a 'mixed bag' but in a way that worked for me. It’s right near a power plant and has that industrial, gritty Queens vibe, which might feel a little weird at first. But honestly, it’s a plus too—it stays pretty quiet, and you feel like you’re seeing the 'real' New York. The best part, though, is how close it is to Manhattan. You can hop on the subway and be downtown in minutes, so you get a spotless, modern room without the crazy Manhattan price tag. Definitely a solid choice if you want convenience and cleanliness!

Great value for money. The service was good, and the room was clean and well maintained throughout my stay. The location is convenient which is close to Manhattan but you’ll need to take the subway to get there, with about a 10–15 minute walk to the nearest station. Special mention to Nicole H. at Ora’s Market in the hotel lobby, she was warm and pleasant, and makes a great cup of coffee too!

We love this hotel for the price and location. This was our second stay here, and the first after the change from Aiden to DoubleTree. As a Hilton Honors member, I really like the fact I earn Hilton points for staying here now, as my wife and I plan to return year after year. The staff and service are top notch. My only issues are with the room itself. 1) There is no chair of any kind. This means all reading must be done on the bed or the floor - or come to the lobby/restaurant area. It also means that a woman must get ready (dry hair, put on makeup, etc.) on the toilet seat. A small chair is really important for overall comfort. 2) We had a handicap accessible room, which only meant that they put bars around the toilet and tub. It was still a step-over tub - very difficult for my wife to maneuver - with only a slippery floor, no texture at all to prevent slippage. Dangerous and scary for someone with mobility/slip-n-fall issues. 3) The difference between scalding hot water and room temperature/cold water in the shower is about 1/16th inch. Very difficult to get a warm shower. With small improvements in these areas, this will be the best hotel for the price in NYC!
